After WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger also faces temporary outage

Facebook Messenger, an instant messaging service and software application, has on Saturday reportedly faced temporary outage as users in many parts of world are unable to send or receive messages.
It is second major incident of similar nature within 24 hours as another popular freeware and cross-platform instant messaging service for smartphones, WhatsApp, has also been hit with temporary suspension of 30 minutes.
The website Down Detector showed a huge spike in problems with the app, showing that thousands were unable to get online.
Panicked users have taken to other forms of social media to complain they can’t use the service as the global problem emerged.
