Dense fog paralyses routine life in most parts of Punjab

Thick and dense fog blanketed several cities of Punjab including Lahore on night between Monday and Tuesday, paralysing routine life and disrupting rail, road and air traffic.
Motorway police have closed Motorway at several places due to low visibility while the traffic at the National Highway was also affected by the dense fog.
The fog has also disrupted flight operations at various airports in Punjab. Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport was shut down and flight operation was cancelled as thick fog dropped visibility down to zero. Fog also caused flight delay at the Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad airports.
Dense fog has also affected railways schedule in most cities of Punjab and trains departure was delayed for several hours.
