General Elections to be Held on Time: CEC Sardar Raza

Chief Election Commissioner Justice (Retd) Sardar Raza Khan on Friday inaugurated a new software of National Database and Registration Authority though which voters can register their votes at permanent or present address.
The software was introduced by Nadra with the collaboration of ECP.
The CEC launched the software at a ceremony. Speaking to media on the occasion, Justice Sardar Raza said that elections would be held on time.
He added that as per Elections Reforms Act 2017, Nadra and ECP would jointly prepare flawless electoral rolls. He termed the day as historic, saying that the ECP and Nadra introduce the software through which voter can register his/her votes at his permanent or present address on his choice.
The CEC said that they wanted to hold controversy-free elections.
To a question about deadlock over the constitutional amendments, Sardar Raza said that the deadline of Nov 10 was yet to pass.
On the occasion, Chairman NADRA Usman Mobeen said that NADRA and ECP were improving the system.
He added that through the new service voter can register their vote on their choice. He added that the service was being introduced across the country.
