PPP rendered massive sacrifices for democracy: Asif Ali Zardari

Pakistan Peoples Party Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari congratulated workers in and outside the country on the occasion of the party’s 50th foundation day anniversary.
In a message on the occasion, Zardari said PPP has made massive sacrifices for the sake of ideology and there was no match for the efforts the party has made for democracy.
Moreover, the party co-chairperson said they were proud of PPP’s record of public service.
Zardari said PPP has always believed in peaceful settlement of matters. He added that back in 1970s it was the party’s founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who signed an agreement with Indian leader Indira Gandhi to reverse the consequences of the 1971 war and to settle differences between India and Pakistan through bilateral negotiations.
About bringing change in the country, Zardari said it could be possible through free and fair elections.
