Intra Party Elections: ECP Directs PTI to Submit Docs by Dec 27

Election Commission Pakistan has resumed the hearing of the petition against the intra-party elections of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
A member of PTI Yusuf Ali  has challenged PTI’s intra-party elections claiming that they were fake and faulty.
During today’s hearing the PTI did not submit the information called for by the ECP. Azam Swati plead the ECP to grant two week’s time for the submission of information sought by It to which the Chief Election Commissioner asked him to submit the documents first and change the party office later.
The five-member Commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (R) Sardar Muhammad Raza directed the PTI to submit the said documents by December 27.
During the hearing of the case on December 13 the five-member Commission had announced to continue hearing the case. It had also and sought details of Election Panel, Nomination Papers and Results of the elections.
Petitioner Yusuf’s counsel had claimed that ECP had given the last chance to PTI for clearing its position on the elections as none of the PTI representatives was reportedly present at the time of announcement of decision.
