Sindh Govt Proposes Three Names for IG Sindh

The Sindh government has sent a letter to federal government for the appointment of new Inspector General Police Sindh proposing three names.
The name of Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti on top of provincial government priority list while others are Ghulam Qadir Thebu and Kaleem Imam.
The letter apprised the federal government regarding the provincial cabinet’s decision of change in IG Sindh post and asked for the appointment of new IG among the three names proposed in the letter.
It is pertinent to mention that Sindh government has already been attempted to remove the present IG Sindh AD Khawaja twice and also wrote the letter to federal government in this connection, however their request was turned down.
After the federal government rejection, Sindh government approached Sindh High Court, however SHC had also dismissed request for AD Khawaja rejection and directed him to continue retain the slot.
