Saba Qamar bags Filmfare nomination

Saba Qamar has bagged her first Filmfare nomination for her role in her debut film in Bollywood, Hindi Medium, starring against Irrfan Khan.
Saba Qamar has been in the news for some time now for her radical role in drama serial Baaghi, based on the life of the defiant social media celebrity, Qandeel Baloch, murdered in cold blood allegedly in the name of honor.

The news of her nomination in Filmfare awards has brought her again into limelight. And for good reason too, as she battles with the likes of Alia Bhatt, Sri Devi, Bhumi Pednekar, Vidya Balan, and Zaira Wasim for the coveted award.
Saba Qamar is a vocal person who does not mince her words when it comes to issues she feels strongly about. In Hindi Medium, she plays a boisterous Mittu, who, along with her husband Raj, played by the talented Irrfan Khan, become a victim of the divide in society due to (English) language.
Before Saba, Fawad Khan has also been nominated in Filmfare awards in the category of Best Actor in a Leading Role.
