Pakistani cricket umpire Aleem Dar is undoubtedly one of the most respected officials in the game and was one of the top names in ICC’s elite panel for the 2017-18 season and was named the best umpire in international cricket for three consecutive years from 2009-11.
The 49-year-old kickstarted a new venture outside the sport by launching his own restaurant, got best wishes from none other than Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli who is in South Africa.
In his video message for the umpire, Kohli said, “Hello Aleem Bhai I have heard that you have opened up a new restaurant…many congratulations on that. I wish that your restaurant becomes just as successful as you are an umpire.

Further, in the video, Kohli lauded Dar’s intentions of starting a school for deaf children through restaurant’s earnings. “I have also heard that you want to make a school for deaf children through the earnings of this restaurant so I hope that you accomplish what you want to accomplish.
I encourage everyone to go and try his restaurant,” Kohli added.
