ECP rejects Imran’s reference against MPA Ziaullah Afridi

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday has dismissed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan’s reference to oust Ziaullah Afridi, member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly.
Announcing the verdict, ECP declared Ziaullah eligible to hold the provincial assembly seat.
It is to be mentioned here that Imran Khan had submitted a plea against Ziaullah, stating that he had joined Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) due to which, he could not continue as MPA on PTI ticket.
PTI chief also attached a document as a proof of Ziaullah joining another party.
Earlier, Ziaullah had leveled corruption allegations against KP Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak and KP Finance Minister Muzaffar Said. He had also accused Imran Khan and Jamaat-e-Islami chief Siraj-ul-Haq of illegally hiring thee managing director of Bank of Khyber.
