Film and Cultural Policy to be announced on Monday

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that Pakistan’s first film and cultural policy will be announced on Monday Monday.
Speaking at a ceremony in connection with the National Artists and CPEC Cultural Festival in Islamabad on Friday, she said artists are the defenders of cultural heritage of the country.
The Minister of State said due to bold steps of the government, security situation in the country has improved during the last four years and efforts are being made to revive cultural activities in the country.
She said three-day festival being participated by Chinese artists will be a very valuable event to enhance bilateral relations and will also augment economic activities for prosperity of both the countries.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said these initiatives are also aimed at conveying the world about our rich cultural treasure and highlighting of peaceful values of our society.
Marriyum Aurangzeb urged Media to extend its role in promoting of artists and cultural activities particularly this three-day National Artists and CPEC-Carvan Festival beginning from tomorrow.
