NAB Summons Nawaz Sharif for Illegal Construction of Road

Despite life disqualification cases against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif being appeared continuously as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned him in illegal construction of link road leading to Jati Umra, his residence, in Lahore.
Nawaz Sharif was ordered to appeared before the NAB personally on April 21 in charges of illegal construction of road towards Jati Umra. According to sources he was accused of construction of road from Ada Plot to Jati Umra for only personal interest.
NAB had already been probed the chief minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif in the same case as he was submitted all the concern record in this connection.
The Nab alleged that the Sharif brothers allegedly caused a loss of about Rs125 million to the national exchequer by illegally constructing the road to their Jati Umra residence and t the road was constructed ‘exclusively’ to facilitate the Sharifs as the area mostly had agricultural land at that time.
