US vice-president telephones caretaker premier

United States vice-president Mike Pence on Thursday telephoned caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retd) Nasirul Mulk to felicitate him on assuming office as interim premier.
As per details garnered, both aforementioned dignitaries agreed on further cementing Pak-US relations and vowed to work together to restore peace in war-torn Afghanistan.
Caretaker premier told Pence that caretaker government would leave no stone unturned to hold transparent elections. He further stated that caretaker set up will fully cooperate with Election Commission of Pakistan to hold free and transparent elections.
