Operation launched in federal capital against illegal encroachments: Fawad

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that a massive operation has been launched in the federal capital against illegal encroachments.
Talking to media persons in Islamabad, he said that an area of two kilometers was cleared today from illegal occupation, which will benefit the masses. He said this is the first phase of operation, which has been started after due legal process.
The Information Minister said that the second phase of operation will be launched after Muharram-ul-Harram. He warned the encroachers to clear the land they have occupied illegally; otherwise, strict action will be taken against them.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the drive against encroachments would be expanded to other cities including Lahore.
Responding to a question, the Information Minister said that the prime minister will visit Karachi soon where the local government and the federal government will collectively launch a cleanliness drive. He said the people of Karachi have given us the mandate and we will live up to their expectations.
