Scrubs actor diagnosed with cancer weeks after becoming a father

The actor’s wife Vanessa had given birth to their first child just weeks before the diagnosis.
Scrubs actor Sam Lloyd has been diagnosed with cancer, weeks after the birth of his first child.
The 55-year-old received the diagnosis in January after complaining of headaches and losing weight.
Lloyd played sweaty hospital lawyer Ted Buckland in the hospital sitcom, who spent his time unsuccessfully trying to win the approval of his boss Dr Bob Kelso.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by the executive producer of Scrubs, Tim Hobert, to raise the money for his medical care.
The sitcom’s creator, Bill Lawrence, shared the post on Twitter and encouraged fans to get involved.According to the fundraising page, Lloyd had initially put some of his symptoms down to the lack of sleep and stress of being a new parent.
He decided to see a doctor when his headaches worsened, and a CT scan revealed he had a brain tumour.
